Alex H. | Washington HS

Class of 2016 | Melissa Ide Photography

So this guy here… Alex … he’s a pretty cool cat! Alex is a cheerleader over at Washington HS and his favorite class this year is drumline. I’m excited to share his portraits this week as he is the cousin of Chandler whose session I shared last week.

All of us made a morning out of wandering around downtown Tacoma stopping here and there to take a few shots. There was a great bank of windows that we stopped at first.

We later moved over toward the Tacoma Glass Museum and grabbed a few images before continuing on. I love this black and white of Alex.

I think we were lucky to stumble upon a staircase that was just the perfect amount of urban grunge for my liking. I have a feeling that I will be returning to these stairs in the future.

Alex and I talked about his future plans and he has a huge interest in attending a technical school to acquire his chef certifications. His plans following tech school include getting right to work and going after the Executive chef position at the restaurant he is currently working in. I have a feeling that won’t take him very long to acquire and I think he will go on to own several of his own restaurants.

I know winter is a bit cold for senior portraits… Melissa Ide Photography just happens to have a studio space that works wonderfully for portraits in the cold months. Or… Contact me and book for later into the spring when the weather improves. Either way I can’t wait to hear from you!!!
